I got a glass computer desk for a steal because it had a scratch on it. I was looking for a used glass desk for my office and was undecided as to what I should get. I had little money to spend so I certainly wasn’t looking for anything glamorous or breathtaking. I just wanted a glass computer desk, where I could sit at comfortably and do my work at. I was with my girlfriend at the mall and we came upon a store that had glass desks for sale. We were curious, so we headed inside. It was a store that sells desk furniture that has scratches or some other types of imperfections for really cheap. I actually saw a desk chair there that I know is worth over three hundred dollars for eighty dollars. There are some really amazing deals there and this is where I found my new desk.

My girlfriend told me to go and look at the glass desks just in case they had something that I could use for my office, so I did. They had an amazing selection of glass computer desks and they all had minor scratches on them. I guess when a glass top desk has a noticeable scratch on it, you can’t sell it for the same price anymore, so for someone like me that doesn’t care about scratches, this is the perfect place.

I saw that one glass table sitting in the corner and immediately walked over to it. I noticed a tiny crack on the edge of the glass computer desk but it didn’t look like anything too major. My dad has repaired cracks on glass top desks before and I was pretty sure that he could fix it for me. So, I inspected the glass desk some more and that tiny little scratch was the only flaw that it had. When I looked at the price my eyes must have lit up. I couldn’t believe how cheap that desk was and it was so right for my office. It was a quarter of the price of all of the other glass desks that I was looking at, so I knew that I had to get it.

I put the glass desk in my office and it looks perfect. I love sitting on my glass computer desk and it has so much room in which I can get my work done. My dad came over and fixed the crack no problem. I wanted to make sure to get it taken care of immediately because if you don’t then it can expand. The desk is gorgeous and from now on I am doing my shopping at that same store.

You see, a glass table can be expensive, but there are some stores that you can get a used glass desk, or one that has a minor imperfection for such a cheap price. These stores are often not easy to find, but if you do find one, then you can get some great deals like my glass computer desk.

If you’re anything like me then you have probably been seeing the use of a glass desk or a glass table more and more these days, and now you’re interested in seeing the different styles that are available to buy. Or maybe you’re thinking about the negatives that may come along with having a glass table such as the safety aspects or keeping it clean? Well you have come to the right place, and hopefully this article will guide you through the process of finding the right glass top desk or table for your home or business, or simply deciding whether it would be a good choice for you.

OK so first of all let me just get one of the negative aspects of glass desks out of the way. If you are a person who hates cleaning things all of the time then a glass table may not be the right choice for you. Just think about how quickly most of the other glass in your home or business needs cleaning, such as your windows or shower door or whatever else you have, and then remember that a desk is used and touched a lot more than those things. So if you are planning on using your glass top desk for work or study every day then you’re going to be getting fingerprints and smudges all over it… not to mention all of the stains from food and drink. In other words, whether we are talking about a glass dining table or a glass desk for that matter, as long as there is a glass top involved, there will be cleaning involved. I personally own a glass coffee table, a glass dining table, a glass desk, and other units with glass table tops, so with pleasure, I will move on to all of the good things that come along with glass. Some of these are just my own personal opinions of course, so I guess you can make up your own mind in the end.

A glass desk makes a great addition to a room in which you are trying to create a more modern look, especially if the room is brightly lit and has white furniture in it. There are also many other little touches of “modernisms” that can be used alongside it. If this is the kind of look you’re going for then I suggest searching for glass table pictures online and saving anything that you like so you can come back to it later.

Another great aspect of glass desks or tables is that they can, in some situations, create the illusion of more space and make the room look a little bit bigger. I guess this has something to do with the fact that a regular desk isn’t transparent as a glass table would be and it has a way of hiding part of the walls or floor.

Now, before you go rushing out to buy yourself a shiny new glass desk for your home or business, you should consider the things that we mentioned first. That way, you will know whether glass furniture work for you!
